フットゴルフとは？
フットゴルフは、サッカーボールを使用し、ゴルフのコースをプレーするスポーツです。9または18のホールがあり、ゴルフとほぼ同じルールが適用されます。ゴールではなく、バケツ大の穴にボールを入れます。このスポーツは急速に普及し、「史上最速で発展している新スポーツ」と称されています。発案者はオランダのミハエル・ヤンセンとバス・コルステンで、2008年にプロサッカー選手を対象とした初の大会を開催しました。その後、国際フットゴルフ連盟が設立され、第1回ワールドカップが2012年にハンガリーで開催されたのを皮切りに国際的な大会も開催されています。フットゴルフは初心者でも気軽にできるスポーツで、こどもや女性、おじいさん、おばあさんでもどんな方でも楽しめます。ゴルフ場の広大な天然芝の上でボールを蹴る爽快感が魅力です。ぜひ体験してみてください！
What is foot golf?
Footgolf is a sport played on a golf course using a soccer ball. There are either 9 or 18 holes, and the rules are almost the same as golf. Put the ball into the bucket-sized hole instead of into the goal. The sport is rapidly gaining popularity and has been called the “fastest growing new sport in history.” It was invented by Michael Jansen and Bas Corsten of the Netherlands, who held the first tournament for professional soccer players in 2008. Since then, the International Footgolf Federation has been established, and international competitions have been held since the first World Cup was held in Hungary in 2012. Footgolf is a sport that even beginners can easily play, and can be enjoyed by everyone, including children, women, and even grandparents. The exhilarating feeling of kicking a ball on the vast natural grass of a golf course is appealing. Please give it a try!
フットゴルフとさくら市、セブンハンドレッドクラブ
さくら市は、2020年にセブンハンドレッドクラブで開催予定だったフットゴルフワールドカップ(その後2021年に新型コロナウィルスの影響で中止に)を契機にフットゴルフの普及と地域活性化を目指し、「さくら市フットゴルフタウン推進委員会」を設立しました。市はフットゴルフの聖地となるべくさまざまな活動を行っていき、スポーツ振興・地域の活性化を目指していきます。市内の公園であるゆうゆうパークには無料で楽しめるフットゴルフコースがあり、サッカーボールさえ持っていけば誰でも楽しめます。また、市内の小学校で体育の授業でフットゴルフを取り入れたり、フットゴルフの体験会や市民大会を開催したりと地域の方にフットゴルフに親しんでいただき地域を活性化する取組みを行っています。
Foot Golf and Sakura City, Seven Hundred Club
Sakura City aims to popularize foot golf and revitalize the region, taking the opportunity of the Foot Golf World Cup, which was scheduled to be held at Seven Hundred Club in 2020 (later canceled in 2021 due to the influence of the new coronavirus), to hold the “Sakura We have established the City Foot Golf Town Promotion Committee. さくら市内にあるゴルフ場、セブンハンドレッドクラブは世界的サッカー漫画『キャプテン翼』の原作者高橋陽一先生監修の日本で唯一36ホールを常設しており、初心者の方から上級者の方までだれでも気軽に楽しくフットゴルフがプレーできます。さくら市とのつながりも強く、市民向けのフットゴルフ体験会や市民大会も行われ、地域の皆さまにも親しまれています。県内のフットゴルフコースと共同の大会を開催するなどイベントも盛りだくさんです。また、2020年にワールドカップを開催予定でしたが、新型コロナウィルスの影響により中止となりました。2023年には10か国の選手が参加する国際大会が開催されるなどいろいろな方に愛される日本のフットゴルフの聖地として注目していただいています。
